My journey began in Stockholm, Sweden but I lived on several continents before I found myself in NYC. There I graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology and worked for a while in the fashion industry before transitioning into teaching. Now I find myself in Western Massachusetts surrounded by nature and can finally dedicate myself to creating full time.
Nature is my greatest inspiration, the force of it, the magic and mystery that exists all around us. The constant growth and creation of beauty compels me to reciprocate and create in return.
In my work I am intrigued by texture and color. I work mainly with natural and recycled materials. Images come to me while meditating or in dreams. Through weaving I create my own mythology. I embrace weaving as an ancient art form found across the globe and in all cultures. Weaving isn’t just about creating an object or an image, the process represents an interconnectedness between humans, earth and life past and present.
